Remember my party planning post a few weeks back? Well, it was in reference to this awesome baby shower. Below is a fun collection of all the things and details we put together to make little Peyton’s shower extra special.
Everything was pretty much made from scratch and printed at home. We made the banner and all the food. The Coast Guard pillow was lots of fun, because not only is my hubby in the CG, but so is Jess’ husband for whom we threw the shower.
These straws can be seen at many shower type events, but they were too cute to not indulge.
Here we put together cute little party favors to take home. We made cake batter chocolate bark. It wasn’t as good this time, but we made much larger batches and didn’t use quite as good chocolate. But it’s still always delish.
Peyton’s cake was lemon with raspberry filling and raspberry buttercream. This buttercream was my favorite I’ve ever made. We went lighter on flavors, because this was a brunch. The outside we made marshmallow fondant… That is always a lot of work, but if you want fondant for looks, MMF just tastes SO much better.
We even found some cute little onesies to decorate with.
We did a breakfast burrito bar which seemed to be a hit, and who doesn’t love eggs, bacon and salsa?
There were so many extra details, I didn’t catch, because I was so busy, I didn’t take many pictures that day. I’m grateful to those who did. So, there you have it….” “Thanks for sailing on by” 🙂
Check out another adorable baby shower for a little girl, that I’ve thrown right here!
